UKGEI Among First 100 Certified EVCC Members – Driving the Future of EV Installation

We’re thrilled to announce that UK Green Energy Installations (UKGEI) has been officially recognised as one of the first 100 certified members of the Electric Vehicle Consumer Code (EVCC) – a major milestone in our mission to raise standards in the EV home charging industry.

Our early commitment to quality, consumer protection, and industry best practice has helped shape the EVCC into a powerful voice for trust and transparency in EV installations. Being part of this founding group isn’t just an honour – it’s a clear signal of leadership and credibility in the growing electric vehicle space.

To mark the occasion, we’re proudly displaying the exclusive First 100 Members badge, a symbol of our dedication to putting customers first.

“It’s more than just a thank-you. It’s a badge of trust, progress, and responsibility.”

We’re excited for what’s ahead – more benefits, events, resources, and ways to support you on your EV journey.

Main Differences Between Solar Panels?

SOLAR PANEL Size (W)

Solar panels typically range from 380W to 450W. While higher wattage panels (450W) produce more power, efficiency and other factors should also be considered when choosing the best option.

Solar Panel Efficiency

Solar panel efficiency varies, with most operating between 94% and 99%. Always ask your installer about the efficiency of the proposed panels to ensure optimal performance.

Monofacial vs. Bifacial Panels

Modern bifacial panels generate more energy than traditional monofacial ones by absorbing sunlight from both the front and back, maximising ambient light usage.

Warranties

Opt for panels with a minimum 15-year warranty. Some manufacturers offer up to 25 years, often split into two types:

Product warranty

Covers defects or faults affecting panel functionality. Typically lasts 10–12 years, with some extending up to 25 years.

Power warranty

Guarantees a specific power output over time, e.g., 90% output at 10 years and 80% at 25 years.
