What is SigenStor Neo?
SigenStor Neo is Sigenergy's next-generation all-in-one home energy system.
Like the existing SigenStor, it is designed to bring several parts of a solar and battery installation together rather than relying on numerous separate components.
Neo integrates the solar inverter, battery power conversion, battery storage, energy management and gateway functionality into one platform.

What's New With SigenStor Neo?
There are several interesting developments.
Up to Six Battery Modules
SigenStor Neo can support up to six vertically stacked battery modules, allowing storage capacity to be tailored to the property.
This modular approach is particularly useful if energy requirements change in the future - for example, after adding an EV or heat pump.
Old and New Batteries Can Work Together
One particularly useful development is Sigenergy's new pack optimiser.
Sigenergy says this allows older and newer battery modules to operate together, potentially making it easier to expand battery capacity later rather than having to replace an existing battery stack.
New Smart Port
Neo introduces a Smart Port, designed to enable the system to connect with other energy technologies, including supported:
EV chargers
heat pumps
third-party inverters
generators
This could become increasingly important as homes move towards greater electrification.
Instead of solar panels, battery storage, EV charging and heating working as completely separate technologies, they can potentially become parts of one coordinated home energy system.
Integrated Backup
Backup functionality has also been further integrated into Neo.
Sigenergy has announced very fast backup switching and enhanced off-grid output capability, although the actual backup available in a home will depend on the final system specification, battery capacity and electrical design.
